Try the CZ-75 Kadet Kit. 100% reliable and very accurate. Plus you keep the same manual of arms (DA/SA) as your CZ-75 9mm or 40SW. They are getting pricy but they are worth it.

Are there revolver kits that will increase it’s capacity? I saw the tail end of a program that showed a .22 revolver with more than 10 shells. Is this possible?

I just bought the 22lr kit for my sig 220. At first, it was jamming, but after my polish and break in period of 200 rounds, it feeds beautifully ! VERY ACCURATE :3))

I’m responding to Dennis as to yes they make
a 10 shot revolver but can’t interchange barrell
on S&W the cylinder placement is designed
For round capacity. Now semi-autos do down
size caliber for conversion kits. But at cost
Two different guns last longer than one. Bob

My Advantage Arms conversion kit for the glock 17 is simply awesome, cheap to. Only problem is that it has problems cycling sub-sonic rounds. But in their defense, it wasn’t made for that anyways. They also make conversion kits for 1911’s to, which I’m sure is nothing short of amazing also.

What’s a good .22 handgun that can shoot ratshot but is cheap and fairly reliable? The rats have taken over in my chicken barn, I believe that would be the best solution.

  8. justin says:

Ben, if you’re going to use ratshot your best bet would be a revolver. Those little shotshells don’t develop enough pressure to cycle the action of a semiautomatic pistol. You would have to rack the slide after each round.

There are plenty of good .22 LR revolvers that don’t cost an arm and a leg. Take a look at the Charter Arms Pathfinder or the Taurus Model 94. For a bit more, the Ruger SP101 or the S&W Model 317 are good choices.

    Hey guys,
I have the Ciener conversion for my Hi Power. It did not fit properly from the factory, but after 15 minutes with a file (mostly aluminum), it fit and functioned fine. It likes high velocity ammo, with which it functions flawlessly. Accuracy is pleasing as well. I do own a Glock subcompact, but Advantage Arms doesn’t make this conversion yet. When they do, I’ll likely get it, but for now I’m very happy with my Ciener.

I have the Advantage Arms kit for my 1911 and my Glock 17. Worth every penny. For the amount that I shoot in .22 would have cost a fortune in full caliber. The kits have paid for themselves many times over.

Picked up a EAA Witness .45 with a .22 conversion kit because I love my CZ 9mm but wanted a .45. After I fit the .22 on, i put around 200 rounds of federal bulk through it. Only 2 FTEs. After that I cleaned it and even ran a nail file along the grooves to get all the gunk out. Now this dang thing eats up any ammo I give it with zero malfunctions.

i have to cz cadet kits and they work great

  13. Jow says:

Any issue running the CZ Kadet kit on a stainless CZ75 9mm frame? Dis-similar metal issues, wear and tear on either component? I love my -75. Just concerned about mixing the two types.

    • Bob says:

no issues due to the fact all sliding parts are in the kit it self. The kit slides in and the slide runs with in the kit. So the lower rails are used only to hold the kit in place. Mine is very accurate runs clean. Zero failures to date. Not a worry about dis-similar metals with no sliding taking place between the kit and lower frame.

  14. DD says:

Have the Advantage Arms .22lr conversion for the Glock 17. Great purchase and has paid for itself already. Will not cycle Federal bulk ammo but have not had one jam with Remingtion Golden Bullets bulk. Also loves Winchester Super X and MiniMags. You cannot lose with that package, basically two guns in one.

  15. Dustin says:

Apologies if this is not the right place. I am looking to see if there are revolvers made with exchangeable cylinders from .22 to a .38 caliber? If not, any recommendations for any .22 revolver and conversion kit to a .38 – if made?

    Thanks in advance.

    • justin says:

This is not possible since the barrel would need to be swapped out along with the cylinder.

There are revolvers with interchangeable .22 LR / .22 Magnum cylinders, .38 Special / 9x19mm cylinders, .357 Magnum / 9x19mm cylinders, and most likely a few more. But these work only because the bullet diameter is the same or close enough to not cause any problems.

A .38 caliber bullet is almost twice as wide as a .22 caliber bullet, so it is easy to understand why interchangeable cylinders for these is not possible.

  16. Nesley Louis says:

Now,this is the truth about a 22 caliber pistol or revolver. It can kill a person easily.
Copper Plated Hollow Point Segmented bullets, muzzle velocity:1050 fps..
Imagine,if a dog is listed as a varmint and we know they come in various sizes ,being hit with a bullet that fragments into three parts on impact increasing trauma and surgical complications–one shot to the fermoral artery and one near the nasal cavity will take any human down.
If that human is a God,then he has nothing to worry about…
